How can I add a new component?

Click on the green plus button at the bottom right in the library under Components. The following input window will open.

When it comes to component types, we distinguish between so-called main components and "Other Components."

Main Components: These are components that are essential for the basic function of a system. Examples include PV modules, inverters, mounting systems, battery storage, or heat generators. To add them, please select the manufacturer and model. The corresponding datasheet is also stored behind each of these systems. If you cannot find a main component, please scroll down in this article.

It is crucial not to add a main component under the "Other Component" type. Otherwise, it will not be possible to select it at the designated locations in the expert (e.g., battery storage).

Other Components: With this type, you can define a component individually. This means you can freely choose the name, description, and technology association. This is suitable for all items that should be additionally recorded in the offer, such as labor hours, travel costs, administrative fees, etc. For an "Other Component," enter a meaningful designation under "Name" and then choose the appropriate technology association. Multiple selections are also possible here.

By clicking "Add," the newly created component will open, and you can enter additional settings such as the price or price dependency.

I can't find the component. What can I do? First, check if the component has not already been added to your library or archived.

Already Recorded Components:

You can find the already recorded components in the library under "Components." You can search for them using the search field at the top left.

Archived Components:

Archived components can be displayed in the library with the filter "Component Status: inactive."

If the two steps mentioned above do not lead to success, the missing components need to be recorded by our support team. Please send the datasheet of the component via email to support@eturnity.com. We will then take care of it as soon as possible.
