Introduction
Eturnity Expert supports 3D models that meet the outlined requirements (3D Model Upload Requirements for 3D Panel Layout), and we have verified compatibility with several 3D model providers, such as KOPA. This means you can be confident that the textured 3D models from these providers will work seamlessly in Expert, without the need for additional changes or conversions.
Workflow
If you have a textured 3D model, follow these steps:
Click on the “File upload” (
) button.
Drag and drop or select the file that you want to upload.
Click the “Upload” button.
The uploaded textured 3D model will appear on the map.
Move the textured 3D model so that it matches with the satellite imagery underneath.
Draw the editable 3D model (using the Roof tool), including the outer and inner edges. It is important to define all edges; otherwise, the next step might not produce correct results.
Switch to the Height tool and click the “Project roof on textured 3D model” (
) button. This action will snap the editable 3D model to the textured 3D model, instantly defining the roof's height.
After that you can define additional details like obstacles and change margins, and finally adds panels onto the roofs.
