How does the process work with the K2 integration?

In Eturnity Expert, you have the option of connecting your account to K2 Base and transferring projects directly to K2. You can then plan in K2 Base and send the generated parts list back to the expert. This is taken into account in the corresponding project.

1. Linking the two accounts

Under Settings > Integrations > K2 Base you can generate a token, which you then enter in your K2 Base user account at Eturnity Authentication Token. The two accounts are then linked.

2. Plan PV project and transfer to K2

After planning your PV project as usual, click on K2 Base at the bottom left of the project menu. Select the project variant to be transferred to K2 and click on the Transfer project data to K2 button. As soon as the data has been transferred, you can open the K2 Base programme by clicking on the Open K2 Base button.

3. Open project in K2 Base

You must now first import the transferred project so that you can then edit it in K2 Base. Click on "Open project from K2+" and select Eturnity. A project list opens with all projects that have been transferred to K2 and you are entered as the project manager. Select your project and import it.
You can now plan your project in K2 Base.

4. Export bill of material to Eturnity Expert again

In the "Summary" step, "K2+ Eturnity Export" is available on the left-hand side of the page. Click on this button and select Eturnity. The Expert is opened automatically and the bill of material to be imported is displayed.
The bill of material is divided into two sections: Into components that are not created in your library and existing components.
You can define a purchase discount and margin for the non-existent components. Depending on the country, you must define an exchange rate, as the K2 prices are in euros.
You can then import the parts list and, if necessary, have the non-existent components added to your library.

5. Collective position in the bill of material

The imported bill of material from K2 Base is created as a collective item under K2 Components. You can define whether this item should be displayed in detail on the quotation or not.

Reasons why you cannot transfer a project variant to K2 Base:

  • "You cannot transfer project variants that do not exclusively use K2 mounting systems" --> Check the mounting system you used in your layout
  • "You cannot transfer project variants without roof and panel fields created" --> Draw a layout
  • "You cannot transfer project variants that contain roofs that do not use the same type of K2 mounting system." --> Check the mounting system you used in your layout! Make sure all moudlue fields of the same roof are using the same mounting system
  • "You cannot transfer project variants which are not using the 3D layout" --> Create a 3D variant

Additional information about the integration:

  • If you transfer a project from Eturnity Expert to K2 Base, the project gets marked with 'Ready for Export'. There is no data transferred to K2 Base until you import the project in K2 Base itself.
  • When a project variant is marked with ‘Ready for Export’ it will only be available to import in K2 Base itself if you’re the project manager in the Eturnity Expert project.
  • When a project variant is marked with ‘Ready for Export’ you can still do changes on the layout and the changes are visible when you import the project in K2 Base again. Therefore, you can have several K2 Base projects for the same Eturnity Expert project variant.
  • If you transfer a project from K2 Base back to Eturnity Expert the project gets unmarked with ‘Ready for Export’.
  • When a project variant is not marked with ‘Ready for Export’ anymore the project cannot be imported in K2 Base.
